Hybrid Tea, mp, 1957

Medium, slightly cupped. rich pink, semi-double flowers, borne in large trusses at the tip of the canes. Slightly fragrant. Semi-glossy, medium green foliage and canes.

This one stands out in the bed in spring, because it's foliage and canes are all green, even the baby leaves, while all around it on other varieties have the much more typical bronze-red new growth.

Reputed to be vigorous and upright, but mine tends to grow sideways so far - perhaps a result of not being budded -- this is one of the experiments in the "own-root" bed. Covered in blooms June 2001.
