Richie's 18watt Sound Clips

These clips showcase Richie's ( AKA Richie{~}, plexi, greeneyes0v0 ) modified 18watt, which uses fixed bias and the other minor circuit changes shown on this schematic.

The clips were recorded using Pro Tools and two mikes, one close in front and the other a few feet from the back. These were recorded using Jensen C12Rs, but according to Richie, he's since "changed to greenbacks..it sounds a bit better." The guitar was a Strat with hot pickups.

"Where the amp was cranked...it says cranked. Other files were done from 5 to 6 volume. And the chicken pickin' and short jazzy noodling used different pickup/selector..and volume down on guitar some.. amp about 4."
